BrVR Settings list as of 9/9/24
Start Screen Via the MEG Sign-Up Form at the Start of the game, you can opt into or out of:
Gore: Exploding heads, blood particles, decals, etc.
Entities: Don't believe in Backrooms Entities, or want a more relaxing experience? Turn Entities off all entities. You can also just turn off Jump Scares and/or Arachnids in the settings and leave on the other entities. There is even a Goofy-Ahh setting that brings corny sounds and unexpected levity to everything BrVR.
Firearms: Don't believe there should be firearms in the Backrooms? Turn them off and you will only have Backrooms items to deal with any Entities like Squirt Guns that shoot a lot of different liquids, Partygoer Balloonguns, etc.
Movement and Interaction
Vive Switch: Toggle between Vive and other VR controller layouts.
Vive Toggle Grab: Switch between hold and toggle grip for Vive controllers.
Crouch Climbing: Enable climbing while in a crouched position.
Movement Source: Choose between head or hand-based movement direction.
Rotation Speed: Adjust the speed of artificial turning.
Rotation Type: Select between smooth or snap turning.
Vibration: Control the intensity of controller haptic feedback.
Headbob: Add realistic head movement while walking.
Hip Slot Radius Modifier: Adjust the reach for hip-mounted items.
Void Crouch Stick: Prevent unintended movement while crouching.
Gameplay Modifiers
Hard Mode: Increase overall game difficulty for a greater challenge. Less Health, bigger Entities, Perma Death, Vault Nerfs, Weapon Scarecity, are a few key differences plus none of the No-clips/Doors are named.
Backpack System: Enable or disable the inventory management system.
Auto Regen Health: Toggle automatic health regeneration.
Hunger Depletion Rate: Adjust how quickly hunger affects the player.
Sanity Depletion Rate: Control the rate of sanity loss.
No Jumpscare Mode: Remove sudden scares for a calmer experience.
No Arachnids: Remove spider-like creatures from the game.
Tracer Rounds: Enable visible bullet trails for better aiming.
Shotgun Priority: Prioritize different types of Shotgun Shells in pouch.
Time Shift On Low Health: Slow time when health is critically low.
Auto Pull Bolt Unless Trigger Is Held: Automatically chamber rounds unless actively firing.
Swap Jump and Menu Buttons: Customize button layout for comfort.
Replace Doorframes: Change the appearance of door frames.
Watch: Choose which watch types are available in-game.
Replace Door Pictures: Alter the images displayed on doors.
Show Inventory Hitboxes: Visualize item interaction areas.
Halve Entity Frequency: Reduce the number of entities for performance.
Keep Inventory: Retain items after death.
Delete Gun Anywhere: Allow you to use Delete Gun on any map.
Visual and Performance
Loading Screen: Customize the game's loading visuals.
Ragdoll Fling: Adjust the physics of defeated enemies.
Goofy Ahh Mode: Enable silly visual and audio effects.
View Distance: Set how far you can see in the game world.
Anti Aliasing Type: Choose the method for smoothing edges.
Anti Aliasing: Adjust the intensity of edge smoothing.
Post Processing: Fine-tune advanced visual effects.
Shadows: Control the quality and presence of shadows.
Textures: Adjust the detail level of in-game surfaces.
Effects: Modify the intensity of visual effects.
